Introducing a new look at a legend's classic and hard-to-find works
The publications in the Pro Shop Nelson Reissue series were inspired by a love for what some scholars call the Golden Age of Mentalism, a period of time spanning roughly the first half of the 20th century and featured such legends as Ted Annemann, Burling Hull, Bert Reese, Erik Jan Hannusen, Rajah Raboid and Alexander. Many of these names have passed from the memory of both the public and professionals alike, but Robert Nelson remains prominent in the minds of most mentalists today.
While some publishers have been content to merely scan, convert to text, and sell the works of Robert Nelson, The Pro Shop wanted to produce something more relevant to the modern mentalist. With this in mind, we've gathered as much additional information as possible to include in these editions. In addition to the original text – which has been lightly edited to correct the most blatant of Nelson's notorious typos and spelling errors – you will find the original ad as it appeared in the Nelson Enterprises catalog, some very opinionated commentary, ideas on how to use Nelson's ideas today, and a brief biography.
The material contained in the Pro Shop Nelson Reissues is timeless, and in many cases, all that an enterprising performer would need to establish and maintain a thriving career.
